Printing-system reports Introduction This printing-system report (PSR) section contains registry information for the following installations: • Windows Vista, USB, software-first installation • Windows Vista, USB uninstall • Windows XP, USB, software-first installation • Windows XP, USB uninstall Registry information The printing-system reports that appear in this section contain the file and directory changes that take place when the HP LaserJet product software is installed. The registry is a database that Windows operating systems use to store configuration information for the operating system, as well as other programs and services. The operating system makes registry changes during the installation of print drivers. Because any additions or deletions to the registry are managed by the operating system and are beyond the control of Hewlett-Packard, this PSR does not cover the specific changes that the operating system makes during a print-driver installation.
