NOTE Before connecting or disconnecting the USB cable, turn the printer OFF. Choose the system configuration The following connections are possible. 1. Printer 2. USB interface 3. Printer server (RIP) Connection procedure NOTE Before you connect the USB cable, you should ensure that the RIP is installed so that the printer can be detected by your operating system. Refer to the instructions that came with your RIP for installation instructions. Connect a USB cable as follows: 1. Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of your printer if it is already connected. 2. Turn the printer off at the front panel. 3. Power off the printer using the power switch at the rear. 4. Connect a USB cable to the USB connector at the rear of the printer. 5. Connect a USB cable to the USB connector at the rear of the computer. 6. Before connecting or disconnecting the USB cable, turn the printer OFF.
Choose the system configuration
The following connections are possible.
