2. Lift the processor (3) straight up and remove it. NOTE: The gold triangle (4) on the processor must be aligned with the triangle icon embossed on the processor socket when you install the processor. Reverse this procedure to install the processor. Power connector cable Description Power connector cable (includes bracket) Spare part number 698078-001 Before removing the optical drive connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery), and then remove the following components: a. Hard drive (see Hard drive) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive) c. WLAN module (see WLAN module) d.
