RTC battery Description RTC battery Spare part number 616073-001 Before removing the TouchPad cable, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29). Remove the RTC battery: ▲ Use a case utility tool (1) or similar plastic, flat-edged tool to release the RTC battery (2) from its slot on the system board. Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery. When installing the RTC battery, make sure the "+" sign is facing up. 32 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the TouchPad cable, follow these steps:
1.

off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is
off

2.

3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.

Remove the RTC battery:
