TouchPad, Lift the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the battery

TouchPad Description TouchPad (includes cable) Spare part number 850907-001 Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 23). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 25). Remove the TouchPad: 1. Disconnect the TouchPad cable (1) from the system board. 2. Lift the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the battery (2). 3. Remove the adhesive from atop the TouchPad (3). 4. Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×2.0 broadhead screws (4) that secure the TouchPad to the computer, and then remove the TouchPad from the computer (5). Reverse the removal procedures to install the TouchPad. Component replacement procedures 29

Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1.
