Setup Utilities and Diagnostics Installing Compaq Diagnostics The Compaq Diagnostics utility is preloaded on the computer, but is not installed. To install Compaq Diagnostics (or any other preloaded Compaq utility), select Start > All Programs > Setup Compaq Software > Next. Select the check box for Compaq Diagnostics for Windows. Clear the check boxes for preloaded software you do not want to install. Accessing Compaq Diagnostics To access the Compaq Diagnostics, select Start > Control Panel > Performance and Management, Compaq Diagnostics icon. Obtaining, Saving or Printing Configuration Information 1. Open Compaq Diagnostics by selecting Start > Control Panel > Performance and Management > Compaq Configuration Record. 2. Select Categories, then select a category from the drop-down list. ❏ To save the information, select File > Save As. ❏ To print the information, select File > Print. 3. Installing Compaq Diagnostics
The Compaq Diagnostics utility is preloaded on the computer, but
is not installed.
To install Compaq Diagnostics (or any other preloaded Compaq
utility), select Start > All Programs > Setup Compaq Software >
Next. Select the check box for Compaq Diagnostics for Windows.
Clear the check boxes for preloaded software you do not want to
install.
Accessing Compaq Diagnostics
To access the Compaq Diagnostics, select Start > Control Panel >
Performance and Management, Compaq Diagnostics icon.
Obtaining, Saving or Printing Configuration
Information
1.
Open Compaq Diagnostics by selecting Start > Control
Panel > Performance and Management > Compaq
Configuration Record.
2.
Select Categories,
then select a category from the
drop-down list.

To save the information, select File > Save As.

To print the information, select File > Print.
3.
To close Compaq Diagnostics, select File > Exit.
