Hard drive Description 128-GB mSATA solid-state drive (SSD) Spare part number 672616-001 Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the base enclosure screws (see Base enclosure on page 27). 5. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 29). 6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 31). 7. Disconnect the battery cable (see Battery on page 35). Remove the hard drive: 1. Remove the 2 Phillips PM 2.0×2.5 screws (1) that secure the hard drive to the computer. (The hard drive tilts up.) 2. Pull the hard drive to the right(2). 3. Remove the hard drive (3). Reverse this procedure to reassemble and install the hard drive. 42 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

1.
Remove the 2 Phillips PM 2.0×2.5 screws

that secure the hard drive to the computer. (The
hard drive tilts up.)

Pull the hard drive to the right

Remove the hard drive

Reverse this procedure to reassemble and install the hard drive.
