Troubleshooting procedures for writing head electronics Troubleshoot writing head electronics. General Before attempting to replace any hardware, make sure that: ● The WHEL3 plate is properly mounted to the WH suitcase ● All WHEL3 cables are properly connected ● All WH power supply voltages exist: - +5V, -15V, +15V, enabled via safety programmable logic control (PLC) - 24V, 48V, via PDU Field replaceable units (FRU) It explains about Field replaceable units. ● For every polygon problem, first verify that the 48V supply (coming from PDU) is OK. Then replace the PLD24 board. If the problem persists, replace WHEL3 plate. If WHEL3 replacement did not solve the problem, consult with WH optics team. ● For every fan rotation issue, first verify that the 24V supply (coming from PDU) is OK. Then replace the relevant fan unit (one out of three according to specific I/O). If the problem persists, replace WHEL3 plate. ● For every communication problem with WHEL3, replace the CBA board. If the problem persists, replace WHEL3 plate. WH lasers For issues relevant to WH lasers replace the relevant laser driver module voltage analog (LDMVA) board according to the table below: Problematic laser number 0, 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 7 8, 9, 10, 11 12, 13, 14, 15 16, 17, 18, 19 20, 21, 22, 23 24, 25, 26, 27 28, 29, 30, 31 LDMVA reference J32 J33 J27 J28 J29 J30 J31 J34 If the problem persists, replace WHEL3 plate.
