Overview The PTE lamp discharges the PIP to allow it to record a new image for the next separation. The PTE lamp consists of an array of LEDs mounted on top of the air knife, below the PIP drum. The PTE lamp is covered by a plastic cover to protect if from ink drips and substrate dust. Ink drops on the PTE cover hinder full PIP discharge.
