Chapter 3 Installing LH 3r Components Installing the LH 3r in the Rack Refer to the documentation listed below to install the LH 3r in the rack. For HP Racks Refer to the HP NetServer LH 3/LH 3r User Guide. For cabling instructions, refer to the documentation that came with the rack, and to the Rack Cabling Reference for the HP NetServer LH 3r. For Non-HP ( Compaq) Racks Refer to the HP NetServer LH 3r Non-HP Rack Installation Guide. For cabling instructions, refer to the documentation that came with the rack, and to the Rack Cabling Reference for the HP NetServer LH 3r. Installing the Bezel Hinge and Latch Assembly Install the bezel hinge and latch assembly, referring to Figure 3-5: The bezel hinge is a long plastic part with five screw holes, two on the left and three on the right. 1. Position the bezel hinge so that the three screw holes in the plastic tabs are aligned with the screw holes in the NetServer chassis, then attach the bezel hinge to the NetServer with the supplied screws. The other two screw holes on the left are used to attach the NetServer to the rack after it has been fastened to the rack rails and installed in the rack. The latch plate is a small metal part with four screw holes, two on the left and two on the right, and a black plastic latch mounted on it. When it is installed and the bezel is attached to the NetServer, this latch engages the bezel and holds it in place. 1. Position the latch plate so that the two screw holes on the left are aligned with the screw holes in the NetServer chassis, then attach the latch plate to the NetServer with the supplied screws. The other two screw holes on the right are used to attach the NetServer to the rack after it has been fastened to the rack rails and installed in the rack. 18
