WARNING! Alcohol is flammable. Keep the alcohol and cloth away from open flame. Allow alcohol to dry completely before closing the printer and plugging in the power cord. 3 Using a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe the pickup roller to remove loosened dirt. 4 Allow the pickup roller to completely dry before reinstalling it in the printer. Cleaning the scanner You may need to clean the scanner after scanning or copying items that have ink which smudges or that have excessive amounts of dirt or dust.
