Chapter 1 Controls and Indicators Electrical Controls and Indicators, Pedestal Models (Figure 2) Switch or Indicator Power Switch On Line LED LCD On Line FF LF View ↑ (Up) ↓ (Down) → (Next) ← (Prev) Clear Shift + L.P.I Adj Shift + Clear Shift + Page L Adj Set TOF Enter ↑ + ↓ Function Active Active Online Offline Turns printer on and off: 1 = on, 0 = off. This switch is also a circuit breaker. On when the printer is online, off when the printer is offline. ä ä Flashes to indicate a fault or warning. Liquid Crystal Display. Displays printer status messages, ä ä fault messages, and menus which permit user to set various configurations. Toggles the printer online and offline. Clears the printer after ä ä a fault is corrected and returns the printer to offline state. Prints any data in the buffer then moves paper to top of form ä ä as defined by the currently active form length. Prints any data in the buffer then moves one line feed as ä ä defined by the currently active line spacing. Repeats if held down. Moves the current print position to the tractor area for viewing. Press again to move paper back to the print position. ä ä Displays next higher level of a configuration menu. After ä View is pressed, moves paper up 1/72 inch. Displays next lower level of a configuration menu. After View ä is pressed, moves paper down 1/72 inch. Displays the next option in a configuration menu. ä Displays the previous option in a configuration menu. ä Clears the printer after a fault is corrected and returns the ä printer to the offline state. Selects new line spacing. ä Resets PCL-II emulation. ä Selects new form length in inches, which is then selected ä with Page L Adj key. Sets the location of the first line of print on a page, ä independent of form length. Enters an option displayed on the LCD into printer non- ä volatile memory. Starts and stops printer tests. Must be unlocked before using. (See below.) Locks and unlocks the ENTER key. ä 18
