Connecting the Projector to a Desktop Computer 1. Connect one end of the projector signal cable 1B to the projector and the other end to the VGA connector on the desktop computer and tighten the screws. If your computer has a digital connector, connect one end of the digital flat panel (DFP) signal cable 1A to the digital connector on the projector and the other end to the digital connector on the computer. Connect either the VGA cable OR the DFP cable; do not connect both cables. Be sure the signal cable aligns with the connector. Do not force the cable onto the connector or you may damage the signal cable or the projector. 2. Connect one end of the power cord 2 into the back of the projector, and the other end to an electrical outlet that is easily accessible and close to the projector.  For security purposes, this projector has been fitted with a slot 3 (located on the left, front side) for use with a security cable lock that can be purchased separately at most computer stores.
