See video: http://www.hp.com/go/pagewidexl/print-from-driver/. NOTE: When first printing, Windows automatically searches for the printer driver on the Internet (if the computer is connected to the Internet). This means that you do not need to search for the driver yourself. However, this process will install the driver without the rest of the software. Therefore, we recommend installation using the install package that you can download from HP's website http://www.hp.com/go/pagewidexlseries/support/drivers, so that all of the printer software is installed. Driver installation Printer drivers can be installed using the following two different methods. 1. Printer driver installer The HP printer driver installer can be downloaded from the relevant product page by searching for the printer model at the HP Customer Support Software and Driver Downloads website. Check https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers/. When you have found the printer model, navigate to the Driver-Driver Pack tab, download the printer driver installer, and proceed to install the driver on the computer. 2. Add printer driver wizard The following steps provide the complete procedure for this topic. Like the printer driver installer, the add printer driver wizard provides an easy-to-use interface for installing the printer driver. However, unlike the printer driver installer, the add printer driver wizard installs the printer driver only and does not allow the user to install any additional printer software. Installation with a wired or wireless network connection, and Windows 10 or 8: 1. In Windows, search for and open Control Panel. 2. Click Devices and Printers, then click Add a printer. 3. In the Choose a device or printer to add to this PC window, select your printer, click Next, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver. If your printer is not in the list, continue with the following steps. a. Click The printer I want isn't listed. b. Click Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings. c. Click Next. d. Select the port to be used by your printer, such as USB001 for a USB-connected printer, then click Next. e. Click Windows Update, then wait for the print drivers to update. 136 Chapter 7 Sending a job to print
