Power Indicators The following icons may be displayed on the status screen, in Live View, in Playback, and when the camera is connected to a computer or printer. If no icon is displayed, this means that the camera is using battery power. Icon Animated battery filling up Description Batteries are running low. Camera will power down soon. Camera is operating on AC power (with nonrechargeable batteries or no batteries installed). Camera is operating on AC power and is charging the batteries. Camera has successfully completed battery charging and is operating on AC power. NOTE When you remove the batteries from the camera, the date and time settings are preserved for approximately 10 minutes. If the camera is without batteries for longer than 10 minutes, the clock is set to the last date and time at which the camera was used. You may be prompted to update the date and time the next time you power on the camera. Appendix A: Managing Batteries 133
