Prepare the computer for disassembly. 2. Remove the palmrest assembly. 3. Remove the keyboard and heatspreader. 4. Remove the display panel assembly. 5. Remove the hard drive. 6. Remove the Upper CPU cover. 7. Unplug the fan cable and lift the fan assembly from the chassis slot. To replace the fan assembly, reverse the previous steps. Be sure to insert the fan as shown NOTE in the figure, to prevent damage to the cable. Removing the Fan Gasket

To remove
the fan
assembly,
complete the

steps:

disassembly
.
2. Remove
the
palmrest
assembly
.
3. Remove
the
keyboard

heatspreader
.
4. Remove
the
display
panel
assembly
.
5. Remove
the

drive
.
6. Remove
the
Upper
CPU cover
.

fan cable and

assembly
from the
