Figure 7. Sets of four traces of the signal midplane can be used for 1-, 2- , or 4-lane standard protocols. Connectivity between blades and interconnect modules The c-Class server blades use mezzanine cards to connect to various network fabrics. The mezzanine cards on the server blades connect to the interconnect modules through independent traces on the NonStop signal midplane. Connections differ depending on the enclosure. The c7000 enclosure was designed for fully redundant connections between the server blades and interconnect modules. Figure 8 shows how halfheight server blades connect to the interconnect bays in the c7000 enclosure. Figure 8. Connectivity between blades and interconnect modules
The c-Class server blades use mezzanine cards to connect to various network fabrics. The mezzanine
cards on the server blades connect to the interconnect modules through independent traces on the
NonStop signal midplane.
Connections differ depending on the enclosure. The c7000 enclosure was designed for fully
redundant connections between the server blades and interconnect modules. Figure 8 shows how half-
height server blades connect to the interconnect bays in the c7000 enclosure.
