HP SIM The workstation blade is designed to work with HP SIM. If you created a custom Windows® image, ensure that SNMP and the HP Insight Management Agents for Windows are installed. ROM-Based Setup Utility The RBSU enables BIOS parameters to be changed during the boot process. For example, Remote Console Mode is set using RBSU. Power-on Self Test At power-on, the workstation blade performs POST. BIOS Serial Console BIOS Serial Console allows you to configure the serial port on the local I/O cable to view POST error messages and run RBSU. A keyboard and mouse are not required. BIOS programming HP provides a downloadable SoftPaq to update the BIOS. Each BIOS SoftPaq includes a version number and date. If there is a more recent BIOS version available than the BIOS on your workstation blade, HP recommends that you update to the latest BIOS.
