Card reader board Description Card reader board Card reader board cable Spare part number 841272-001 841261-001 Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 21). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 22). 6. Remove the left speaker (see Speakers on page 27). Remove the card reader board: 1. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw that secures the card reader board to the computer. 2. Lift and position the card reader board so you can access the connector underneath (1). 3. Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn
off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is
off
or in Hibernation,
turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see
Bottom cover
on page
21
).
5.
Remove the battery (see
Battery
on page
22
).
6.
Remove the left speaker (see
Speakers
on page
27
).
Remove the card reader board:
1.
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw that secures the card reader board to the computer.
2.
Lift and position the card reader board so you can access the connector underneath
