2 userConfig userConfig Manages user accounts. Synopsis userconfig [actions][arguments] Description Use this command to manage a user's account on a switch by configuring the account's role and the Admin Domains that account may access. An account is assigned a single role. An account can access multiple Admin Domains, but only one Admin Domain at a time. New accounts created take on the role specified during account creation. See the valid roles listed below. When the userConfig command completes, account information is saved persistently. In a platform supporting multiple switch domains, account information is saved only to the switch domain that the command was executed on. Valid roles are: User Non-administrative use, such as monitoring system activity Operator A subset of administrative tasks performed off-hours SwitchAdmin Administrative use excluding security, user management, and zoning ZoneAdmin Zone management only FabricAdmin Administrative use excluding user management and AD management BasicSwitchAdmin Administrative use with a subset of Admin-level access Admin Administrative use SecurityAdmin Administrative use including admin, security, user management, and zoning In Secure Fabric OS mode, the actions associated with this command to add, delete, change or recover accounts are allowed only on the Primary FCS switch. The Primary FCS switch distributes the update to the entire Fabric. As a result, all switches supporting customer-defined accounts will have the same account database. All accounts that are not consistent with the Primary FCS switch will be deleted and saved in the backup database. Administrators can use the --recover action to restore the accounts. Admin Domain-related options are not allowed in Secure Fabric OS mode for the 5.3.x release The execution of this command is subject to Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place.
