firmwareRestore 2 firmwareRestore Restores the former active firmware image. Synopsis firmwarerestore Description Use this command to restore the former active Fabric OS firmware image. This command can only be run if auto commit was disabled during the firmwaredownload. This command cannot be used to restore SAS and SA images. After a firmwaredownload and a reboot (with auto commit disabled), the downloaded firmware becomes active. If you then do not want to commit the firmware and want to restore the former firmware, run firmwarerestore. After running firmwarerestore, you can run firmwaredownload again. This command reboots the system and makes the former firmware active. After reboot, both primary and secondary partitions restore to the former firmware. This command only takes action if the system is booted after a firmwareDownload; otherwise, it returns with an error code. Note The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details.
