Restriction Workaround The Disk Array FC60 is not supported as a boot None device on Windows NT. There are known display problems with using 256 colors. A brownish hash pattern is displayed on the windows and in the online Help. To avoid this problem in online Help, do not use the scroll bar or the up/down arrow keys when scrolling. To navigate within Help, click in the scroll area above or below the scroll bar or use the Page Up and Page Down keys. Recommended display setting of 1024 x 768 pixels with 64K colors. The minimum display setting allowed is 800 x 600 pixels with 256 colors. Clicking on the vertical scroll arrows (either up or down) causes the scroll box to move all the way to the opposite end of the scroll bar. This is a known defect in the Java Runtime Environment. Click the scroll box and slide it until you reach the desired position in the window. To avoid losing access to data, do not attempt to immediately re-open the Array Management Window after performing a firmware upgrade. During the upgrade, you are prompted to close the Array Management Window. It then takes approximately five minutes for the upgrade to complete. After you respond to the prompt to close the AMW, wait approximately five minutes, then use SM60 to confirm that the firmware has successfully upgraded on both controllers before re-opening the Array Management Window. There are limits to how much drive space capacity you can have in a single volume group. For example, with 73.4 GB drives, the maximum number of drives that can be configured in a single volume group is 29. None. During RDAC installation, you will see the Digital Signature Not Found message. We have tested this software, and it does work correctly with Windows. You can select Yes, and continue the installation. 116
