3.1. Install Intel PXE Evaluation Program on your Server 3. PXE Evaluation Program Setup Download the installation pack from Intel's web site (for reference, this document refers to build 82 of Intel PXE PDK). If the server is already configured for RIS, users will need to stop serving the RIS client. To do this: 1 Go to Start>Programs>Administrative Tools>Active Directory Users and Computers. 2 Expand the Domain Controllers by double clicking on it (or by clicking on the "+" in front of Domain Controllers) and right click on your domain controller (in this example, W2KSRV). 3 Go to Properties>Remote Install. If checked, uncheck the "Respond to client computers requesting service" box and validate this by clicking on OK. 4 Stop the associated service so that the PXE server can successfully answer client requests (otherwise the RIS server will answer PXE clients requests first and no other service will be able to perform this role). To do this, right click on My Computer, then on Manage. Double-click on Services and Applications, then on Services, and finally right click on Boot Information and Negotiation Layer (see below). 9
