5 Configuring for Remote Boot Configuring for Remote Boot Configuring for Remote Boot This chapter describes how to configure a server to remote boot a client PC equipped with an HP Ethernet Family Adapter. HP boot ROMs support the following protocols: DHCP/TFTP boot on Windows NT Remote boot on Novell servers Remote boot on Windows NT (RPL) Net Vectra x Vectra VL 71 Kayak XA 6/xxx PC Workstation Kayak XU 6/266 6/300 6/333 PC Workstation Kayak XW 6/xxx PC Workstation Series A2 Kayak XW 6/xxx PC Workstation Series U2 Kayak XW 6/xxx PC Workstation Series W2 x x Kayak XA-s PC Workstation x x x Kayak XU 6/350 6/400 PC Workstation Kayak XW 6/xxx PC Workstation Series U3 Kayak XW 6/xxx PC Workstation Series W3 Vectra XU, XM, XA, VE (up to VE Series 4), Vectra VL (up to VL Series 6), and Vectra VA x x 1. No boot ROM is provided on this PC. To remote boot a Vectra VL 7 you need to acquire a third party boot ROM. 82 English
