Organizations can use VCEM to increase productivity, respond faster to business demands, and further reduce operating costs across the datacenter. VCEM provides a central console (Figure 17) to deploy, manage, and control up to 100 BladeSystem enclosures (up to 1,600 blade servers) configured with Virtual Connect. VCEM extends Virtual Connect with the following advanced capabilities that build on underlying HP Virtual Connect hardware, Onboard Administrator, Integrated Light-Out, and Systems Insight Manager technologies: • Single console and dedicated home page that simplify the discovery and management of up to 100 HP BladeSystem enclosures configured with Virtual Connect • Central database that aggregates the administration for 65,000 MAC addresses and WWNs. This eliminates the risk of address duplication and reduces manual management overheads. 17
