Step 4-Verifying boot order 1. Restart your workstation. 2. Press the F10 key as soon as the monitor light turns green or if the display has turned on and there is a list of key options listed on the bottom line of the monitor. NOTE: If you do not press the F10 key at the appropriate time, you must try again. Turn the workstation off, then on again, and press the F10 key again to access the utility. 3. Select your language from the list and press Enter. 4. Use the arrow keys (left, right, up, or down) to make the selections. For HP Workstation xw8200 or HP Workstation xw6200, if you are installing the OS on the RAID array, select Storage > Controller Order and set the Intel to first in the boot order. For HP Workstation xw4200, if you are installing the OS on the RAID array, select Storage > Boot Order and set the Intel to first in the boot order. 5. Press the F10 key to accept the changes. 6. To apply and save changes, use the arrow key (left or right) to select File and use the arrow key (up or down) to select Save Changes and Exit, then press Enter. 7. The following window is displayed: "Save Change and Exit. Are you sure you want to save changes and exit? F10=Yes ESC=No." Press the F10 key. Step 5-Booting to installation CD 1. Insert the Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional CD. 2. During Setup you are prompted to press the F6 key to install a third-party driver. 3. When prompted, insert the diskette that contains the IAA driver (page 5). For the HP Workstation xw4200, select: Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH6R) For the HP Workstation xw6200 or 8200, select: Intel(R) 82801ER SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH5R) 4. Continue the Microsoft Windows Setup process. Setting up data RAID only Step 1-Enabling RAID option 1. Turn on or restart the workstation. 2. Step 4—Verifying boot order

For HP Workstation xw8200 or HP Workstation xw6200, if you are installing the OS on the RAID
array, select
Storage > Controller Order
and set the
Intel <name of RAID volume>
to
first in the boot order.
For HP Workstation xw4200, if you are installing the OS on the RAID array, select
Storage >
Boot Order
and set the
Intel <name of RAID volume>
to first in the boot order.
5.
Press the
F10
key to accept the changes.
6.
To apply and save changes, use the arrow key (left or right) to select
File
and use the arrow key
(up or down) to select Save Changes and Exit, then press
Enter
.
7.
The following window is displayed: “Save Change and Exit. Are you sure you want to save
changes and exit? F10=Yes ESC=No.” Press the
F10
key.
Step 5—Booting to installation CD
1.
Insert the Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional CD.
2.
During Setup you are prompted to press the
F6
key to install a third-party driver.
3.
When prompted, insert the diskette that contains the IAA driver (page 5).
For the HP Workstation xw4200, select:
Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH6R)
For the HP Workstation xw6200 or 8200, select:
Intel(R) 82801ER SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH5R)
4.
Continue the Microsoft Windows Setup process.

Step 1—Enabling RAID option
1.
Turn on or restart the workstation.
2.
Press the

key as soon as the monitor light turns green or if the display has turned on and
