To create an Internet connection using your Bluetooth mobile phone and your HP iPAQ: 1. Set up data account proxy information from your phone provider to connect to a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network. To find out how to connect to a GPRS network using your mobile phone, contact your mobile phone service provider. 2. From the Today screen, tap the iPAQ Wireless icon. 3. Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn Bluetooth on. 4. Tap the Manager button > My Shortcuts tab. 5. Tap and hold the dial-up networking connection created for your mobile phone, then tap Connect. 6. Select the connection you created during the procedure above, then tap OK. 7. Once a connection has been established, tap Start > Internet Explorer on your HP iPAQ, and begin using the Internet. If the HP iPAQ cannot find your Bluetooth mobile phone, try the following: • Be sure your mobile phone is in discoverable mode. • Contact your mobile phone manufacturer and ask if there is a firmware upgrade. • Check the settings on your phone to be sure it is set up to allow other Bluetooth devices to discvoer and connect to it. 105
