Storage Before storing: • Empty Clean Water Solution Tank and rinse thoroughly with clean water. • Replace empty Clean Water Solution Tank and turn carpet cleaner ON. Squeeze trigger and push carpet cleaner forward and back several times to expel any solution remaining in the carpet cleaner's system. (Do not use carpet cleaner on wood floors.) • Empty Dirty Water Tank and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow brushes and underside of carpet cleaner to air dry thoroughly before storing carpet cleaner on a carpeted or wood surface. Do not store carpet cleaner with a full Clean Water Solution Tank in place. Lubrication The motor is equipped with bearings that contain sufficient lubrication for the life of the motor. The addition of lubricant could cause damage. Therefore, do not add lubricant to motor bearings. 6. TROUBLESHOOTING If a minor problem occurs, it usually can be solved quite easily when the cause is found by using the checklist below. Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative. ! WARNING ! To reduce risk of personal injury - unplug cleaner before servicing. PROBLEM Cleaner won't run. Low suction. POSSIBLE CAUSE 1. Not firmly plugged in. 2. No voltage in wall plug. 3. Blown fuse or tripped breaker. 1. Dirty Water Tank full/ automatic shut off engaged. 2. Blockage In tool on end of hose. 3. Dirty Water Tank lid not on correctly. 4. Dirty Water Tank front panel not replaced after stair or upholstery cleaning. POSSIBLE SOLUTION 1. Plug unit in firmly. 2. Check fuse or breaker in home. 3. Replace fuse or reset breaker in home. 1. Remove and empty Dirty Water Tank. 2. Remove tool and clear blockage. 3. Make sure lid is on securely (p.9). 4. Replace Dirty Water Tank front panel (p.8). Clean Water Solution Tank won't dispense. Brushes/brush indicator won't rotate during floor cleaning. 1. Clean Water Solution Tank not firmly in place. 2. Clean Water Solution Tank empty. 3. Dirty Water Tank lid not on correctly. 4. Pump needs to be "primed" (when using tool). 1. Indicator screen dirty. 2. Speed selector on OFF. 1. Make sure tank is securely locked in position. 2. Refill tank according to instructions for surface being cleaned. 3. Make sure lid is firmly in place. 4. See "Before Using Tool" section. 1. Remove clear cover over indicator and clean screen; replace cover. 2. Move speed selector to Low or Hi. 18

6. TROUBLESHOOTING
If a minor problem occurs, it usually can be solved quite easily when the cause is found by using the
checklist below.
Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative.

The motor is equipped with bearings that contain sufficient lubrication for the life of the motor. The addition
of lubricant could cause damage. Therefore, do not add lubricant to motor bearings.
