6. TROUBLESHOOTING If a minor problem occurs, it usually can be solved quite easily when the cause is found by using the checklist below. Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative. ! WARNING ! To reduce risk of personal injury - unplug cleaner before servicing. PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE Cleaner won't run. 1. Not firmly plugged in. POSSIBLE SOLUTION 1. Plug unit in firmly. Low suction. Clean water won't dispense. 2. No voltage in wall plug. 3. Blown fuse or tripped breaker. 1. Dirty Water Tank full/ automatic shut off engaged. 2. Blockage In tool on end of hose. 3. Dirty Water Tank lid not on correctly. 4. Clean Water Tank empty, but detergent remains. 1. Clean Water Tank not firmly in place. 2. Check fuse or breaker in home. 3. Replace fuse or reset breaker in home. 1.Remove and empty Dirty Water Tank. Clean filter screen. 2. Remove tool and clear blockage. 3. Make sure lid is on securely. 4. Fill Clean Water Tank 1. Make sure tank is securely locked in position. 2. Clean Water Tank or detergent container empty. 3. Dirty Water Tank lid not on correctly. 2. Refill container according to instructions for surface being cleaned. 3 .Make sure lid is firmly in place. Detergent won't dispense Brushes/brush indicator won't rotate during floor cleaning. 1. Valve cap clogged. 1. Dirty filter screen on bottom of unit. 1. Remove and clean valve cap (see instructions below). 1. Clean screen. Helpful Reminders 6.1 ! CAUTION ! Unplug the cleaner before doing any of the following. A 6.2 • Use HOOVER® brand detergents; others may foam too much or cause leaking. B • Use extra dry strokes to aid in faster drying of the carpet. • 6.1 Fill tank (A) with hot (under 140˚F /60˚C) tap water ONLY. Do not put any detergent in water tank. Cleaner won’t run.
1. Not firmly plugged in.
1. Plug unit in firmly.
2. No voltage in wall plug.
2. Check fuse or breaker in home.
3. Blown fuse or tripped
breaker.
3. Replace fuse or reset breaker in home.
Low suction.
1. Dirty Water Tank full/
automatic shut off engaged.
1.Remove and empty Dirty Water Tank. Clean
filter screen.
2. Blockage In tool on end of
hose.
2. Remove tool and clear blockage.
3. Dirty Water Tank lid not on
correctly.
3. Make sure lid is on securely.
4. Clean Water Tank empty, but
detergent remains.
4. Fill Clean Water Tank
Clean water won’t
dispense.
1. Clean Water Tank not firmly
in place.
1. Make sure tank is securely locked in
position.
2. Clean Water Tank or
detergent container empty.

HELPFUL REMINDERS
• Use HOOVER
®
brand detergents; others may

• Use extra dry strokes to aid in faster drying of the

• 6.1 Fill tank (A) with hot (under 140˚F /60˚C) tap

tank. Fill detergent container (B) with HOOVER
