Customizing a remote control Applications You can customize a remote control for a home appliance if no default remote controls are available. 1. On the home screen, touch Tools > Smart Controller. 2. Touch + >Customize. 3. Slide your finger across the screen to select the remote control you want to customize. 4. Touch the key you want to program. 5. Point the infrared sensor of the target remote control towards the infrared sensor at the top of your phone. Then, press and hold the corresponding button on the target remote control for more than 2 seconds. 6. After the key is programmed, touch Save. 7. Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 to program all keys. Touch El to save your settings. 0 When customizing a remote control, make sure the infrared sensor of the target remote control and that of your phone are about 5 cm from each other. Deleting a remote control 1. On the home screen, touch Tools > Smart Controller. 2. Touch and hold the remote control you want to delete, and touch Delete. 3. When prompted, touch Delete. 71
