troubleshooting guide Problem Engine overheats. Battery not charging. Machine moves slowly, unevenly, or not at all. Cause • Clogged debris screen or radiator fins. • Engine overloaded. • Electric fan not functioning. • Poor ventilation around engine. • Blown fuse for electric fan. • Defective engine speed regulator. • Engine alternator belt damage (broke or slipping) • Too little or no oil in the engine. • Low coolant • Poor contact with battery terminal cable connectors. • Charging lead is disconnected. • Alternator not charging. • Parking brake on. • Bypass valve on pump open. • Drive belt for the transmission gears slack or has come off. • Air in hydraulic system. Mower deck not engaging.
