Setting the write-protect switch REC REC SAVE SAVE Resetting the drive To reset the VXA-2 drive, perform one of the following steps: v Press and hold the eject button for 10 seconds. v Turn off the tape drive and turn it on again (do not perform this step if the drive contains a cartridge). v Use the backup/restore application software to send a reset. Packaging the drive for shipping If you are shipping the tape drive to another location or returning it for repair, pack the tape drive in its original shipping container and packing materials. Attention: To avoid damaging the tape drive, use the original shipping materials when you ship it. Your proof of purchase might be required to receive warranty service. Resetting the drive
To reset the VXA-2 drive, perform one of the following steps:
v
Press and hold the eject button for 10 seconds.

Turn off the tape drive and turn it on again (do not perform this step if the
drive contains a cartridge).

Use the backup/restore application software to send a reset.
Packaging the drive for shipping
If you are shipping the tape drive to another location or returning it for repair,
pack the tape drive in its original shipping container and packing materials.
Attention:
To avoid damaging the tape drive, use the original shipping materials

service. If you are returning the tape drive for service, only return the tape drive.
