BASIC OPERATION 4 To maximize the readability of your transmitted signal, pause a second after pushing . Hold the microphone 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) from your mouth, and speak at 2 your normal voice level. The transceiver has a power save function to conserve the battery power. The power save function automatically 4 activates when no signal is received for 5 seconds. To prevent accidental prolonged transmission, the trans- 6 ceiver has a time-out timer function*.
