3 BASIC OPERATION Call procedure When your system uses tone signaling (except CTCSS and DTCS), a call procedure may be necessary prior to voice transmission. The tone signaling employed may be a selective calling system, enabling you to call only specific stations and prevent unwanted stations from contacting you. 1. Select a channel according to your system operator's instructions. LLThis may not be necessary, depending on the presetting. 2. Push [Call]. 3.
