1 ACCESSORIES Battery pack Attaching: 1. Insert the battery pack in the direction of the arrow (1), and then close it. 2. Hook the latch until it makes a 'click' sound (2). 1 Battery pack Jack cover Attach the jack cover when optional equipment is not used. Attaching: 1. Attach the jack cover to the [SP MIC] jack (1). 2. Tighten the screws (2). 2 Latch Detaching: RRWARNING! The latch is tightly locked, so use caution when releasing it. DO NOT use your fingernail. Use the edge of a coin or screwdriver tip to carefully release it. zz Unhook the latch (1), and then lift up the battery pack in the direction of the arrow (2). 2 1 2 1 2 1 Detaching: 1. Remove the screws with a Phillips screwdriver (1). 2. Detach the jack cover to connect the optional equipment (2). 1 CAUTION: NEVER remove or attach the battery pack when the transceiver is wet or soiled. This may result in water or dust getting into the transceiver or the battery pack, and may result in them being damaged. NOTE: Keep battery terminals clean.
