Insignia NS-LCD26-09CA 26" LCD TV 720p Selecting the closed captioning mode To select the closed captioning mode: 1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with VIDEO highlighted. 2 Press or to highlight OPTION, then press . The OPTION menu opens. You can select CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, TT1, TT2, TT3, TT4, or OFF. 4 Press MENU or EXIT to close the menu. Viewing closed captioning To view closed captioning: • Press CCD repeatedly to select the closed captioning setting. You can select: • CC OFF • CC ON • CC ON WHEN MUTE-Closed captioning turns on when the sound is muted. Setting parental controls Your TV has a V-chip that lets you control the type of programs your children can watch. Parental controls include two ratings: MPAA (based on age) and TV Parental Guidelines (based on content and age). A TV program may have an MPAA or TV Parental Guidelines rating, so you should set controls for both ratings. Before you can select ratings, you need to set up a parental controls password. To set up a password: 1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with VIDEO highlighted. 2 Press or to highlight OPTION, then press . The OPTION menu opens. The lock menu for the option you selected opens. 5 Press or to select a rating, then press ENTER to lock the rating.
