Hardware Installations and Upgrades Removing and Installing the Front End Module Before removing or installing the PCI riser assembly, please make sure following steps are performed: 1. Ensure the AC power cord(s) are disconnected from the system. 2. Remove the rack handles. For instructions, see Removing the Rack Handles. 3. Remove the system cover. For instructions, see Removing the System Cover. Removing the Front End Module 1. Disconnect any cables attached to the front end module. 2. Removing the six screws securing the front end module from the chassis (see letter A). 3. Slide the front end module in forward and remove it from the chassis (see letter B). Figure 29. Removing the Front End Module Installing the Front End Module 1. Push the front end module into place (see letter A). 2. Secure the front end module with six screws (see letter B). Figure 30. Removing and Installing the Front End Module
Before removing or installing the PCI riser assembly, please make sure following steps are performed:
1.
Ensure the AC power cord(s) are disconnected from the system.
2.
Remove the rack handles. For instructions, see

3.
Remove the system cover. For instructions, see

.
Removing the Front End Module
1.
Disconnect any cables attached to the front end module.
2.
Removing the six screws securing the front end module from the chassis (see letter

).
3.
Slide the front end module in forward and remove it from the chassis (see letter

).
