Design and Environmental Specifications Intel® Server Boards S3200SH/S3210SH TPS 8.2.2 Dynamic Loading The output voltages shall remain within limits specified for the step loading and capacitive loading specified in the table below. The load transient repetition rate shall be tested between 50Hz and 5kHz at duty cycles ranging from 10%-90%. The load transient repetition rate is only a test specification. The Δ step load may occur anywhere within the MIN load to the MAX load conditions. Table 70. Transient Load Requirements Output +3.3V +5V 12V +5VSB Δ Step Load Size (See note 2) 5.0A 6.0A 9.0A 0.5A Load Slew Rate 0.25 A/μsec 0.25 A/μsec 0.25 A/μsec 0.25 A/μsec Test capacitive Load 250 μF 400 μF 500 μF 20 μF Notes: 1. Step loads on each 12V output may happen simultaneously. 2. For Load Range 2 (light system loading), the tested step load size should be 60% of those listed. 8.2.3 AC Line Transient Specification AC line transient conditions are defined as "sag" and "surge" conditions. "Sag" conditions are also commonly referred to as "brownout"; these conditions are defined as the AC line voltage dropping below nominal voltage conditions. "Surge" is defined to refer to conditions when the AC line voltage rises above nominal voltage. The power supply shall meet the requirements under the following AC line sag and surge conditions. Table 71. AC Line Sag Transient Performance Duration Continuous 0 to 1 AC cycle > 1 AC cycle Sag 10% 95% AC Line Sag Operating AC Voltage Nominal AC Voltage ranges Line Frequency 50/60Hz Nominal AC Voltage ranges 50/60Hz >30% Nominal AC Voltage ranges 50/60Hz Performance Criteria No loss of function or performance.
