Figure 87. Installing the Front Panel I/O Board Replacing the CMOS Battery The lithium battery on the main board powers the real-time clock (RTC) for three to four years in the absence of power. When the battery weakens, it loses voltage and the system settings stored in CMOS RAM and the Real Time Clock (such as the date and time) can be wrong. Contact your customer service representative or dealer for a list of approved replacement batteries. The following warning and translations are required by specific certifying agencies to be printed immediately adjacent to the procedure for removing the battery. Warning: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
