The host can query the LM75 at any time to read the temperature. The temperature sensor has the I2C address of 0x94h on the Enclosure Management Controller I2C Port 4. 1.5.5 Serial EEPROM The Intel® Storage System SSR316MJ2 SATA HSBP provides Atmel* 24C02* or equivalent serial EEPROM for storing the FRU and configuration information. The 24C02 provides 2048 bits of serial electrically erasable and programmable non-volatile memory. The serial EEPROM has the I2C address of 0xA6h on Enclosure Management Controller Port 4. 1.5.6 Hard Disk Drive LEDs The Intel® Storage System SSR316MJ2 SATA HSBP contains a green ACTIVITY LED and a yellow FAULT LED for each of the sixteen drive slots. ACTIVITY LEDs are driven by the Enclosure Management Controller in response to commands sent by the SATA HBAs via I2C bus when the associated drive is being accessed. FAULT LEDs are driven by the Enclosure Management Controller in response to commands sent by the SATA HBAs via I2C bus when an error condition, as defined by the HBA Firmware, has been detected on the associated drive.
