OTHERS 8 AUTO TIMER ^ OFF / ON This is the setting for engaging timer recording standby mode. OFF: Press TIMERj to engage timer recording standby mode. ON: Timer recording standby mode is automatically engaged when the unit is turned off. 8 RESUME ^ OFF / ON / DISC RESUME When this function is set to AONB or ADISC RESUMEB, you can use the resume function. OFF: You cannot use the resume function. ON: The resume function works on the disc loaded on the unit. DISC RESUME: The unit retains a memory of the resume points of the last 30 discs played back, even though they have been ejected. NOTE: ADISC RESUMEB setting works on DVD VIDEO, VCD, SVCD and finalised DVD-R/DVD-RW (Video mode) discs. For other types of discs, the function under AONB setting will be applied even if ARESUMEB is set to ADISC RESUMEB. SUBSIDIARY SETTINGS EN 63 Remote Control Functions Remote Control 1/2/3/4 Code Switching The remote control is capable of controlling four JVC video units independently. Each of the units can respond to one of the four codes (1, 2, 3 or 4). The remote control is preset to send code 3 signals because your unit is initially set to respond to code 3 signals. You can easily modify your unit to respond to code 1, 2 or 4 signals. RAM/RW A I 1-4 ENTER o SET UP ● Keep pressing SET UP down during step 1. 1 Press the number key A1B for 1, A2B for 2, A3B for 3 or A4B for 4 to change the remote control code, then press ENTER. 2 Press A on the unit to turn off the unit. 3 Press I on the unit for over 5 seconds while the unit is turned off. The code currently set appears on the front display panel. 4 Press o on the remote control to change the unit's code. The code currently set on the remote control blinks on the front display panel for approximately 5 seconds, and is applied to the unit.

Remote Control 1/2/3/4 Code Switching
The remote control is capable of controlling four JVC video units
independently. Each of the units can respond to one of the four
codes (1, 2, 3 or 4). The remote control is preset to send code 3
signals because your unit is initially set to respond to code 3
signals. You can easily modify your unit to respond to code 1, 2 or
4 signals.
