UMP9020 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 4 Bass Control To adjust the bass level, press the SEL button (4) until "BAS" appears on the display panel. Within five seconds, rotate the AUDIO ADJUST control (3) to adjust the bass from "-10" to "+10". "00" represents a flat response. 4 Treble Control To adjust the treble level, press the SEL button (4) until "TRB" appears on the display panel. Within five seconds, rotate the AUDIO ADJUST control (3) to adjust the treble from a minimum of "-10" to a maximum of "+10". "00" represents a flat response. 4 Left/Right Balance Control To adjust the left-right speaker balance, press the SEL button (4) until the "BAL" indication appears on the display panel. Within five seconds, rotate the AUDIO ADJUST control (3) to adjust the balance between the left and right speakers from "10L" (full left) to "10R" (full right). "L=R" represents an equal balance level between the left and right speakers. 4 Rear/Front Fader Control To adjust the rear/front speaker balance, press the SEL button (4) until "FAD"appears on the display panel. Within five seconds, rotate the AUDIO ADJUST control to adjust the balance between the front and rear speakers from "10F" (full front) to "10R" (full rear). "F=R" represents an equal balance level between the front and rear speakers. 5 AM/FM Band Selector (BAND) During radio play, press the BAND button (5) to move through one AM and three FM bands. The indications "AM" or "FM" appear on the display panel according to your selection. 5 Loudness Control (BAND/LOUD) When listening to music at low volumes, this feature will boost the bass and treble ranges to compensate for the characteristics of human hearing. Press and hold the BAND/LOUD button (5) to activate this feature as indicated by "LOUD" on the display panel. Press and hold the BAND/LOUD button again to deactivate the function. Bass Control
To adjust the bass level, press
the
SEL
button
(4) until “BAS” appears on the display panel.
Within five seconds, rotate the
AUDIO ADJUST
control (3) to adjust the bass from “-10” to
“+10”. “00” represents a flat response.
Treble Control
To adjust the treble level, press the
SEL
button
(4) until “TRB” appears on the display panel.
Within five seconds, rotate the
AUDIO ADJUST
control (3) to adjust the treble from a minimum
of “-10” to a maximum of “+10”. “00” represents
a flat response.
Left/Right Balance Control
To adjust the left-right speaker balance, press
the
SEL
button (4) until the “BAL” indication
appears on the display panel. Within five
seconds, rotate the
AUDIO ADJUST
control (3)
to adjust the balance between the left and right
speakers from “10L” (full left) to “10R” (full
right). “L=R” represents an equal balance level
between the left and right speakers.
Rear/Front Fader Control
To adjust the rear/front speaker balance, press the
SEL
button (4) until “FAD“appears on the display
panel. Within five seconds, rotate the
AUDIO
ADJUST
control to adjust the balance between the
front and rear speakers from “10F” (full front) to
“10R” (full rear). “F=R” represents an equal balance
level between the front and rear speakers.
AM/FM Band Selector (BAND)
During radio play, press the
BAND
button (5) to
move through one AM and three FM bands.
The indications “AM” or “FM” appear on the
display panel according to your selection.
Loudness Control (BAND/LOUD)
When listening to music at low volumes, this
feature will boost the bass and treble ranges to
compensate for the characteristics of human
hearing.
Press and hold
the
BAND/LOUD
button (5) to activate this feature as indicated
by “LOUD” on the display panel.
Press and hold
the
BAND/LOUD
button again to deactivate the
