Selecting the input mode If you have selected a component connected to the CD/DVD, VIDEO 2, VIDEO 3 or DVD/6CH jacks, make sure that the input mode setting is correct for the type of audio signal to be used. 8 Selecting MD/TAPE Select the source name corresponding to the component connected to the MD/TAPE jacks. The initial factory setting is "TAPE". To change the source to "MD", follow the steps below: Hold down the MD/TAPE key for more than 2 seconds. • The source indication changes to "MD". • To return to the original indication, repeat the above procedure. Selecting the speaker system Press the A SPEAKERS B key to select the speaker system to be used. A ON : B ON : A+B ON : A+B OFF : Sound from the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS A terminals on the rear panel. Sound from the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS B terminals on the rear panel. No sound will be heard from the subwoofer. Sound from both the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS A and B terminals on the rear panel. No sound from the speakers. Use this setting when listening with headphones for stereo sound in all playback modes. The display segments are different depending on the type of input signal. The indicator for the speakers you want to use should be lit.
