Setting the recordable time, Recording music CD

⁄ • Resume is canceled if "CANCEL" or "NO" is selected. - "CANCEL": Press the Control knob. - "NO": Select "NO" using the Control knob. Press the Control knob. • The resume function may be disabled depending the condition of the vehicle or battery. The audio file may be lost if the resume function is disabled. Record or copy while the engine is running. When music CD is inserted Setting the recordable time Set the recordable time for recording music CD. 1 Enter Mode setting Using the Control knob, select "IMPORT CD" > "MODE SET". For the operation method, refer to (page 11). 2 Set the recordable time Turn the Control knob. Approx. 12 hours Extended time recording Approx. 16 hours 3 Exit Mode setting Press the Control knob. ⁄ • * The maximum recordable time is obtained when there is no other file. The actual recording time depends on the song. • The sound quality for Extended recording is lower than for Standard recording. Recording music CD Music CD can be compressed and stored in internal memory. CD v v v v. Recording is performed at x1 speed. 1 Insert a CD-DA Insert the music CD to record. Refer to (page 30). 2 Change to import mode Using the Control knob, select "IMPORT CD" > "IMPORT". For the operation method, refer to (page 11). 3 Select record mode Push the Control knob towards right or left. Multiple song record mode is set when the control knob is turned right and single song record mode is set when it is turned left. 4 Select the song to record Turn the Control knob or push it towards up or down. Record mode Single song Multi song Operation Selects a single song. Selects all songs or from specified song to the last song. 5 Confirm the song Press the Control knob. 6 Name the target file or folder Using the Control knob, select "NAME SET". Setting the recordable time
Set the recordable time for recording music CD.

Using the Control knob, select "IMPORT CD" >
"MODE SET".

Insert a CD-DA
Insert the music CD to record.
Refer to <Playing CD & Audio file> (page 30).

Change to import mode
Using the Control knob, select "IMPORT CD" >
"IMPORT".

Select record mode
Push the Control knob towards right or left.
Multiple song record mode is set when the control
knob is turned right and single song record mode
is set when it is turned left.

Select the song to record
Turn the Control knob or push it towards up or
down.

Selects a single song.
Multi song
Selects all songs or from specified song to
the last song.

Confirm the song
Press the Control knob.

Name the target file or folder
Using the Control knob, select "NAME SET ".
Recording starts if "SKIP" is selected.
