8 Enter the name Operation type Move the cursor to the enter character position Select the character type* Select the characters Operation Push the Control knob towards right or left. Press the Control knob. Turn the Control knob or push it towards up or down. * Each time you press the knob, the character type alternates between the types shown in the table below. Recording track no. and remaining time "Completed" is displayed when recording completes. Canceling recording 1 Cancel recording Press the [FNC] button. Exits Import Mode when pressed by step 4. 2 Select "YES" Select "YES" using the Control knob. 11 Exit Record mode Select "EXIT" using the Control knob. Returns to step 3 if "NEXT" is selected. ⁄ • Recording is possible only from music CD and not from CD containing audio files. Copy audio files from USB device. • Sound may skip due to vibration when the vehicle is in motion. The song will be recorded together with the skip. • Normal recording or playback may not be possible with some CDs. • DSP cannot be enabled while recording, but it can be enabled during playback. • When a song is selected, the remaining recording time is decreased by the length of the recording. The remaining recording time is a rough estimate. It may increase of decrease when recording is completed. • If recording is canceled or if space runs out while recording, the recorded songs will remain. • There is no tag (song information) on the recorded file. • File name or folder name may contain up to 16 characters. • If a folder name is specified when recording multiple songs, the file name will be "foldername_tracknumber". • If there is a file or folder with the same name, a number is added as "Name_001". • If file name or folder name is not specified: - Single song recording: Files are named sequentially starting from "CD000_001.wma". - Multi song recording: Folders are named sequentially starting from "CD001". - File and folder name are incremented successively from the last number even if files in the middle are deleted. The number returns to 001 when 999 is reached. - Setting file name and folder name is recommended. English | 37
