Drip tray The Even-Heat™ chrome electric griddle system provides an evenly heated and easy to clean cooking surface. ■ Remove plastic film and clean with hot, soapy water prior to first use. ■ To avoid scratching the griddle, do not place any pots or pans on the griddle. ■ To avoid scratching the griddle, use only heat resistant plastic or wooden utensils. ■ The griddle surface is ready to use, and does not need to be seasoned. ■ Pouring cold water on a hot griddle may warp the griddle, resulting in an uneven cooking surface. To Use: 1. Position the drip tray under the front edge of the griddle to catch grease and food residue. 2. Push in and turn the control knob to desired temperature. 3. Refer to the griddle Preheat Chart for preheat times. The griddle light will turn off when the griddle has finished preheating. The griddle light will turn on and off during use to indicate that the griddle heating element is maintaining the selected surface temperature. 4.
