TROUBLESHOOTING 3. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean the grille, the open areas behind the grille and the front surface area of the condenser. 4. Replace the base grille when finished. 5. Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power. Lights The lights in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments are LEDs which do not need to be replaced. If the lights do not illuminate when the door or drawer is opened, call for assistance or service. In the U.S.A., call 1-800-253-1301. In Canada call 1-800-807-6777. Do not use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock. PROBLEM The refrigerator will not operate POSSIBLE CAUSES Check electrical supply Check controls New installation Refrigerator Control is in Showroom mode (on some models) SOLUTIONS Plug the power cord into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not use an extension cord. Make sure there is power to the outlet. Plug in a lamp to see if the outlet is working. Reset a tripped circuit breaker. Replace any blown fuses. NOTE: If problems continue, contact an electrician. Make sure the controls are turned on. See "Using the Controls." Allow 24 hours following installation for the refrigerator to cool completely. NOTE: Adjusting the temperature controls to the coldest setting will not cool either compartment more quickly. If the refrigerator is in Showroom mode, cooling is turned off and "Showroom" will be illuminated on the control panel. See "Using the Controls" for more information. 29
