Network Settings 4 SMTP Authentication Specify these settings when SMTP authentication settings have been specified. ! Detail The SMTP authentication method (Digest-MD5, CRAM-MD5, PLAIN or LOGIN) compatible with the SMTP server and having the highest level is automatically selected. If the user belongs to only one domain (realm), it is not necessary to specify the settings from this machine since notification of the domain name is received from the SMTP server with the initial communication, and communication is performed automatically using that domain name. However, if the user belongs to two or more domains (realms), the name of the domain that the user belongs to must be specified. 2 Note For details on typing in text, refer to "Entering text" on page 6-4. 1 Under "SMTP Authentication" on the SMTP Detail screen, touch [ON].
