Introduction This machine allows you to scan from a TWAIN-compliant or plug-in application. Since the scanner driver is not stand-alone software, it has to be started from a TWAIN-compliant application to be able to scan and load an image to your computer. The command to start the scanner driver may vary depending on the application. To determine the correct command, refer to the user manual for the application. User Interface Operation 1 Position the document to be scanned. " For details on positioning the document, refer to "Placing a Document on the Flatbed Glass" on page 34 and "Loading a Document into the ADF" on page 35. " If you are using the flatbed glass to scan, do not load any documents into the ADF. 2 Start the TWAIN scanning application. 3 From the File menu, click Select Source. If Select Source is not avail- able in the File menu, refer to the application's user manual to determine how the TWAIN link is used. A dialog box with a list of scanning sources appears. 4 Select or import PagePro 1390 MF. Introduction

your computer. The command to start the scanner driver may vary depending

User Interface Operation

Position the document to be
scanned.

If you are using the flatbed
glass to scan, do not load

Start the TWAIN scanning application.
