Cleaning the ADF From time to time the ADF pad and feeding rollers may become contaminated with ink, toner particles, or paper dust. In this case, documents may not feed smoothly. If this occurs, follow the cleaning procedure described below. 1 Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol (95%). 2 Gently open the ADF cover. 3 Wipe the feeding rollers by moving the swab from side to side.
